Worthy of the five stars and possibly more, but that is the max allowed. I am, most definitely, impressed with Mr. R. J. Hendricks II and his untold writing abilities. Too, I anxiously await the release of the next Vito book, to be released this Summer, since I have been hooked on the series since reading the first book!Most certainly recommend this series to all you lovers of an exciting suspenseful story, especially one with a western flair. I sincerely all of you will be very impressed with the storylines and the descriptive character selection throughout the entire series. Try it! What do you have yo lose?
I found this book less enjoyable than the previous books in the series. The story itself was quite good, and Frank and Ellie did not disappoint. However, instead of being based on a true event, it played off of the Jack the Ripper murders in London.The story has Frank and Ellie trying to solve Ripper-type murders in Abilene, Texas, and inevitably wanders into Silly territory. The plot felt cheap and thin and there were no surprises.Nevertheless, it's a readable story and I anxiously await the release of A Gunfighter's Deal with the Devil in February 2019.16
I can get enough of this duo, they are s smart, determined, and very good at what they do, and they are in love, but have difficulty even admitting it to their self much lest each other. Mr Hendricks has created a series that is fun, enjoyable and leaves you wanting more. The writing is crisp, to the point and not overblown. He has created two people that I would be friends with, which makes this even more enjoyable.
This is the third book in the series,and I've already bought the fourth. Great writing by a talented author, with all the elements of this type of story. The main characters are the bounty hunter, Frank Vito and his female partner, and lover. They make an interesting couple, and an unusual story twist.
An excellent story entertwining the person of Jack the Ripper with our heroes Frank and Ellie. Would they figure out the real identity of the killer in time? Read for a possible surprise ending.
Interesting plot, good character profiles and an end twist I didn't see coming until just before it happened. High recommendation for shop's up western fans.
Western with a twist that introduces mysteries of an English killer in the west. Makes you think that it could have occurred since Jack the Ripper was neve caught.
Interesting book. Well written. I really enjoyed it. Please continue to write stories with these characters.
